Here's my entry for Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday Challenge. We were to use an oven baked clay shape made from a die cut then stamped. It was a little difficult separating the wings from the body. This die has all three parts on one die, but not laid out as they would be used. I just purchased this stamp and die set; "Love Lives Here Holiday". I love it. When I saw a tag crafted with this set, I knew it would be my next buy.
I like the rust color, evergreen and cream together. The rust color was Tim Holtz's Distressed Ink, "Rusty Hinge", the evergreen was also Distress Ink, "Forest Moss". I used some white seam binding rubbed with the rust Distress Ink so it would match the clay figure. I rubbed some Distress Ink, "Vintage Photo" on the clay parts and around the edges to dirty it up a bit. The label was cut on a Silhouette. Everything was applied to a 4¼" x 5½" chocolate brown card. This was fun, something I wouldn't have thought of doing. I'll probably use this technique again.
